Patti Loach - long bio*

Patti has been in love with the piano since she was six.

She is a grateful product of the vocal and instrumental (clarinet) music programmes offered by Scarborough’s Public Schools; a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto (A.R.C.T. perf.), and of the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto (BMus).

Patti's recordings, "Carmen UnZipped" (with Jean Stilwell) and "Pull Me Through" (with Patricia Zentilli), as well as her work in shows like "The Shopping Cart of Love" (with Patricia Zentilli) and "The Picture of Happiness" (with Brad Hampton), "Love, Longing and Lunacy" (with Lindsay Sutherland Boal) and "PS:Patti and Susan" (with Susan Henley) reflect her love of music written for singer with pianist.

Patti lives with her beautiful, trumpet-playing husband, John, in Toronto's Beaches neighbourhood.  When they’re not making their own music, or hosting salons for musician and actor friends, they record other singers and instrumentalists in the studio they’ve built in their kitchen.

"Loach is a chameleon of the keyboard, playing brilliantly in so many different styles I sometimes feel she should be checked out for multiple personality disorder!"

*Patti Loach - short bio

Patti Loach is a grateful product of the vocal and instrumental music programs offered by Scarborough’s public schools; and sports a string of academic letters - ARCT MUSBACH - accumulated after she graduated from highschool.  In addition to loving classical music she’s mad for the Great American Songbook, and for musical theatre in general.  Lacking any discernible singing voice of her own, Patti relies on singers to accompany her when she wants to make music. “Loach is a chameleon of the keyboard, playing brilliantly in so many different styles I sometimes feel she should be checked out for multiple personality disorder!” Richard Ouzounian, Toronto Star.  www.pattiloach.com
